Tittle, Walter Ernest

Walter Ernest Tittle (1883-1966) was born in Springfield, OH. He studied in New York under the guidance of William Merrit Chase. Most well known for his portrait etchings, some of the individuals depicted in his works included Joseph Conrad, Arnold Bennett and George Bernard Shaw.  He was a member of the Royal Society of Arts, London, the Society of American Etchers, the Chicago Society of Etchers and the Print Makers' Society of California.
