Ray-Jones, Raymond

Raymond Ray-Jones (1886-1942) was an English painter and printmaker. He was born in Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire, England in 1886. He was a student at Heginbottom School of Art and at the Royal College of Art, London. He exhibited under the name Raymond Jones until 1913 when he added the Ray “for commercial reasons.” He died in London in 1942.
