The Joy of Collecting: The Strishock Print Collection

Peirce, Gerry

Gerry Peirce (1900-1969) was a painter, illustrator, etcher, teacher, and author. He was born in Jamestown, NY. After graduating from the Cleveland, Ohio School of Art, he went on to study at the Art Students League in New York. He was a member of the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Society of American Etchers, and the California Print Makers. Peirce passed away in 1969 in Tuscon, Arizona where he spent the last 30 years of his life.
