The Joy of Collecting: The Strishock Print Collection

Hebert, Marian

Frances Marian Hebert (1899-1960) was born in Spencer, Iowa. After graduating from the University of Montana, she moved to Santa Barbara, California. She then graduated from the State Teacher’s College, studying under Ed Borein and Frank M. Fletcher. Known as a painter, etcher, and block printer, Hebert also taught art at the Mary Hardin-Baylor College in Belton, TX. She died in Santa Barbara, California in 1960.
