Mueller, Hans Alexander

Hans Alexander Mueller (1888-1963) was born in Nordhausen, Leipzig, Germany and was a painter, illustrator, designer, author, and engraver, but was best known for his work with woodcuts and wood engravings. After moving to New York, Mueller authored the much admired book 'Woodcuts and Wood Engravings: How I Make Them' in 1939. He passed away in 1963 in New Milford, Connecticut.
