Lionel Arthur Lindsay (1874-1961) was known as one of Australia’s leading printmakers. He studied at the Melbourne Art School. His work focused on street life in Sydney, and his street scenes were distinguished by the inclusion of animated figure and images of the day-to-day life of those who lived there. He was active with the Society of Artists and the Australian Painter-Etchers' Society.
