Design Note
12.Scaraboid. Grey chalcedony. 1.5 x 1.3 x 0.9 cm. Broken at top. Seated deity, wearing long robe, holds a stick or scepter.
13.Six-sided cone. Grey chalcedony. 3.0 x 1.9 x 1.1 cm. Priest or deity, wearing long robe, stands and extends his hands to an altar with symbols of gods Marduk and Nabu. Above the scene appears an eight-rayed star.
14.Eight-sided cone. Grey chalcedony. 3.0 x 2.2 x 1.3 cm. Priest or deity, wearing long robe, stands and extends his hands to an altar with symbols of gods Marduk and Nabu.
30.Stamp seal with handle White chalcedony. 1.2 x 0.8 cm. Eight-rayed star.
31.Ellipsoid. White chalcedony. 1.6 x 1.8 x 1.1 cm. Stylized flower.
32.Stamp seal with handle. Red jaspis. 1.3 x 1.2 x 1.1 cm. Base decoration of a central point from which radiate twelve rays.
33.Cone. White chalcedony. 1.7 x 1.3 x 1.1 cm. Eight-rayed star above what may be a fire altar.
34.Ellipsoid. Lt. brown chalcedony. 2.1 x 1.0 x 1.3 cm. Stylized flower.
35.Dome Brown chalcedony. 1.4 x 1.5 x 1.1 cm. Stylized flower.
36.Four-sided cone. White chalcedony. 1.8 x 1.1 x 1.3 cm. Broken at base

40.Ellipsoid. Brown chalcedony. 1.6 x 1.9 x 1.2 cm. Bird with raised wings to right.
41. Ellipsoid. Blue chalcedony. 1.5 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm. Duck standing to right.
42. Ellipsoid. Carnelian. 1.2 x 1.4 x 0.8 cm. Bird with raised wings to right.
43. Ellipsoid. Brown chalcedony. 1.5 x 1.8 x 1.4 cm. Scorpion.
44.Cube. Serpentine. 1.5 x 1.4 x 0.7 cm. Side 1: Maltese cross within circle. Side 2: Stag leaping to right.
45.Scaraboid. Grey chalcedony. 2.0 x 1.8 x 1.2 cm. Broken. Winged deity. Perhaps earlier Persian work.
46.Bezel (cabochon) Carnelian. 1.2 x 1.1 x 0.4 cm. Figure of Artemis of Ephesus standing with arms extended. Two ibexes at her feet lifting their heads up to her and to objects trailing down from her hands.
47.Bezel (cabochon) Carnelian. 1.2 x 1.0 x 0.15 cm.

48.Bezel (cabochon) Brown carnelian. 1.6 x 1.2 x 0.7 cm.

In the middle a tree with a stag or ibex facing it on both sides.

49.Conical four-sided stamp seal. Blue chalcedony. 1.7 x 1.3 x 0.8 cm. Man seated in a chair with two men standing before him; all with arms raised. In background an eight-rayed star and rectangle filled with two lines.
50.Egyptian scarab. Brown steatite. 2.0 x 1.4 x 0.9 cm. Base shows a king wearing the crown of Upper Egypt striding to the left. Several short inscriptions. New Kingdom. Ramesside period.

51. Ovoid bead. [no.50 of 1889 seal purchase]. Undetermined material. Dk. blue surface encircled by 8 wavy white lines. Diameters .84 x .75 in. Not studied.
