Catholic University is a member of the Washington Research Library Consortium along with 8 other colleges and universities in the DC area. This means that as a student of Catholic University, you have borrowing privileges at American University, Gallaudet University, George Mason University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, Howard University, Marymount University, and the University of the District of Columbia.
When you search the catalog, you'll see results from all WRLC schools as well as those here at Catholic.
If you know the title of the book you're looking for, or want to do a keyword search, use the SearchBox for Books. You can also find the SearchBox on the libraries homepage at libraries.cua.edu.
Consortium Loan Service
If you find a book you like in another WRLC library, you may request it by clicking on the "Request the book from consortium libraries (2-3 Day Delivery)" button. The book will be delivered to Mullen Library, Access Services (Circulation Desk). Consortium requests take 2-3 days to fulfill. Additional information on consortium requests.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
CUA patrons can submit an Interlibrary Loan request for items not available within the WRLC. Please allow plenty of time for the book to arrive, as these loans can take up to 2-3 weeks to fulfill (possibly longer for rare books or books from foreign libraries). If you already have the title, author, and publication information about the book, you may go to your ILL account to complete the request. Alternatively, you may go to WorldCat to find a record for the item and click the Request it via ILL link in the item record.
To find eBooks at Catholic University, use the SearchBox just as you would with a book in print. On the search results page, use the filters in the left column to select Available Online under Availability AND Books under Resource Type.
