The following selections present aspects of the lives of African-American Catholics in the U.S. in the 20th century. The links are to exhibits found elsewhere in the American Catholic History Classroom:
- African-American Catholics presents a series of documents related mainly to the Federated Colored Catholics, an organization that would represent the concerns of African-American Catholics in the U.S.
- An African-American President in 1976? tells the story of Treasure Chest, a Catholic-oriented comic book, with particular focus on the "Pettigrew for President" series, which depicts a fictional rendition of the 1976 presidential election featuring the first black candidate for president. The site reproduces the entire Pettigrew series.
