Can I download an Oxford Reference Library ebook to my Nook/Kindle/iPad/other mobile device?

Yes, but the process is complicated. If you manage to download an Oxford Reference Library ebook entry in PDF, you can then use Adobe Digital Editions to transfer that PDF file to your e-reader or mobile device, except Kindle. Downloading from Oxford Reference Library

1. Locate the ebook you want in SearchBox and click the link. If you are off campus, you have to log in:off-campus login

 

2. You will be taken directly to a list of entries in the dictionary or encyclopedia. Click on an entry to view the full text.

 

3. Click the  icon near the top right. This will open the entry in a new window by itself. From this page, use browser features or extensions to save the entry as a webpage (HTML) or PDF. If you don't know how to do this, consult the "Before Downloading from Oxford Reference Library" box.
