Modern Art

The Modern Art movement originated in Paris in the late 19th century and continued through the 20th century, permeating painting, sculpture, architecture, and graphic arts. What is most notable about Modern Art is the deliberate break with past conventions in the fine arts as well as its rethinking of figural representiation, favoring a more abstract form.
